Another Documentary with Phoenix TV called “The Sinking of the Lisbon Maru”
The Lisbon Maru left Hong Kong On October 1st 1942 and was on it’s way back to Japan with around 1800 P.O.W’s on board. It was sunk just of the coast of China near Shanghai by an American Submarine, thinking it was full of Japanese soldiers.
Ian’s tracks portray the events that happened to it’s crew during the ordeal and even many years after when a few remaining survivors we’re interviewed by Phoenix TV.
